At the grand finale of APC campaign rally in readiness for 2nd December, 2023 Local Government
0LElection in Ekiti state, held at Ilupeju Ekiti on Wednesday, over two hundred opposition members defect to All Progressives Congress as they hinged their defection on the belief in the Chairmanship candidate for Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Ilupeju Ekiti, Mr OluSola Michael Oniyelu.
The decampes described the Chairmanship candidate for Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Ilupeju Ekiti as a mobilizer, philantropist and a homely person with listening ears who could impact lives .
While pledging their loyality and Support to Ifeloju LCDA party leaders, Chief Ajeigbe and Mrs Florence Fabiyi said their defection was to support Mr OluSola Oniyelu in his quest to provide good leadership that would not only fast-track development in the Communities but have positive effects on the citizens
Responding, Mr OluSola Oniyelu said he was elated seening opposition leaders from PDP and SDP joined APC just because he emerged the candidate for the party. According to the Chairmanship candidate” With the crowd here today and those that defected, it shows that God has a hand in this project and I want to assure you all that I will do everything humanly possible to
make you happy and by God’s grace I and my team shall not disappoint you”
Mr OluSola Oniyelu promised to run a transparent Government where stakeholders and members of the party would be carried along with the aim of replicating the good works of the executive Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Abayomi in the LCDA.
While promising that he would work assiduously for the upliftment of both human and physical rdevelopments of Ifeloju LCDA, he solicited the cooperation of allepe the lofty Programmes.
The incoming leaders of Ifeloju LCDA are; Vice Chairman, Chief Arawobarin Ayokunle Samson from Itapa Ekiti, Damilola Olumide Councillorship candidate for Itapa- Osin, Mrs Ayeni Rachael Funmilayo from Ilupeju 1, Ogidi Kayode Emmanuel, Ilupeju 2 and Osadare Toyin from Omu- Ijelu.
Earlier, the APC Chairman in Oye Local Government, Chief Ogunsakin Samuel Oloye and Special Assistant to Governor Oyebanji on Gender and Women Empowerment had pleaded with aggrieved members who could not make the list of the party to put it behind them and joined hands with the incoming chairmen and councillors to provide good leadership that would better the lots of both party members and non members.
The campaign train visited Ayegbaju, Oye, Oloje, Itaji, Ayede, Isan, Ilemeso, Omu, Ijelu, Itapa, Osin along with the party leaders from Ado Ekiti, Oye Local Government and wards executives.
