2001 Alumni of Ilupeju High School has paid school fees of six best students in JSS1 to SSS 3 and also gifted the school Public Address System.
The Pioneer President of the set, Engineer Bamisaye Temitope who made the disclosures at the set reunion held at the school premises during the week said the gesture was to encourage the students to be diligent in their studies and to help their parents considering the harsh economy of the country.
Engineer Bamisaye who hinted that 2001 set was the pioneer Alumni since the establishment of the school since 1980. The beneficiaries according to the president are:
(1) Jesuyemi Sogo. JSS1
(2) Arigbede Demilade. JSS2
(3) Adara Kingsley. JSS3
(4) Dayo Kehinde SSS1
(5) Afolabi Oluwafemi SSS2
(6) Ogunlusi Funmilayo SSS3.
Engineer Bamisaye who said the set donated public Address System for the school use, promised unflinching support to the school at all times. While calling on all Alumni of the school to come together and reposition the school.
Accepting the gift, the principal Mr Kehinde Ayodele commended the executives of the set, saying they were passionate about the progress of the school. He prayed God to prosper them while calling on other sets of the school to take a cue from Bamisaye led executive.
Also, the PTA chairman, Mr Arigbede Adekunle Tope, applauded the set for helping the students and the school.
Comrade Lawrence Ibitoye and Mrs Adeleye-Jemiseye Cecilia also enjoined the leadership of the set to be united, transparent and accountable to all members of the set for smooth and rancor free administration of contributing their little quota to the progress of Ilupeju High School.
Comrade Lawrence further charged Bamisaye to work harmoniously with the school principal to get record of students that have graduated from the school and reach out to them for the development of their Alma-mata, adding that government alone can not provide all the needs of the schools. According to him ” For your school to be modern, your alumni must be ready to come together for her rescue”
The set in 2022 under caretaker committee was said to have paid NECO fees for four students .
