The presidential Campaign Council of All Progressives Congress has appointed : Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, senator representing Nasarawa North senatorial District, Senator Tanko Al-Makura and former Minister of Agriculture, Audu Ogbe, to head separate Directorates in the newly constituted Tinubu-Shettima Independent Campaign Council.
The Independent Campaign Council was establised to focus on grassroots campaign and door-to-door mobilisation of the electorates.
The appointment and roles was contained in a statement issued in Abuja by the Director Media and Publicity Committee of ICC, Ntufam Hilliard Eta.
According to the statement, the
Independent Campaign Council has His Excellency, Silas Agara former Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State as National Coordinator that would complement the newly inaugurated Presidential Campaign Council and it focus shall be the grassroots.”
The ICC was saddled with door-to-door, hamlet-to-hamlet campaigns/Visitations, voters sensitization, and outreach meetings amongst others.
Among the Directorates in the ICC are: Contact and Mobilisation, headed by Babatunde Fashola SAN, Media and Publicity, headed by Ntufam Hilliard Eta; Reconciliation and Integration Committee, headed by Chief Audu Ogbe; Supports Groups and NGOs Committee, headed by Senator Tanko Al-Makura; Finance and Fundraising, headed Alhaji Kashim Iman.”
Eta added that the new appointment was to leave no stone unturned to ensure that the APC Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, becomes the president in 2023.
