The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate for the 2023 polls, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has confirmed Senator Kashim Shettima as his running mate .
Precise news online had earlier reported that the vice presidential candidate would be unveiled to President Muhammadu Buhari, the leader of the party in his hometown in Daura, Katsina State on Sunday (today)
President Buhari has been in Daura since Friday for the Eid-el -Kabir celebration.
Recall that Shettima played a significant role in the pre-presidential primaries campaign of Tinubu which gave him a resounding victory despite the schemings of some Northern and Southern politicians.
Shettima is currently representing Borno Central Senatorial District in senate was also a two-term former Governor of Borno State
