The lawmaker representing Ekiti North Federal Constituency 2 in the House of Representatives, Abuja, Honourable Kolawole Davidson Akinlayo says there would be exclusive and issue-based campaigns for the APC Candidate and Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Oyebanji.
This was coming just as the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) unveiled the commencement of political campaigns barely 5 months to Ekiti Governorship election,
Honourable Akinlayo who spoke with Journalists in Abuja at the weekend, explained that the APC flagbearer, has performed creditably well in the over three years of his governance which are evident for all to see, stressing that a comprehensive campaign strategy would be evolved to ensure that his administration remains till year 2030.
He eulogized Oyebanji for his record-breaking developmental strides in infrastructure, education, Agriculture, accessible and affordable health care services, job creation and rural electrification amongst others.
Akinlayo who described Governor Oyebanji as a silent achiever said the time is now to move for public mobilization for the APC Candidate, whom he affirmed the secure victory in the June 20, poll.
“Ekiti State is fortunate to have a governor and candidate who embody inclusiveness and unity, showing respect for all stakeholders. Governor Oyebanji prioritizes the state’s interests over personal ambitions, demonstrating a genuine commitment to the development of our land and its people. He serves as a model for others.” said Hon. Akinlayo.
“This is just to let Ekiti people and Nigerians know that we are all set to ensure that our Governor, the jinx breaker, retains his position back to back till 2030.”
He explained that the APC candidate has illustrated what the government should prioritize: the welfare and security of our people, the stimulation of the local and state economy, and essential infrastructure development.
The federal lawmaker said all members of Ekiti Caucus at the National Assembly all solidly behind the Governor and are set to mobilize every citizen of voting age across various units, wards and local councils of the state to cast their votes for Oyebanji to enjoy more deliverables.
Akinlayo said “the man who has done so well deserves to be given a second term.
“We strongly believe that Ekiti people are willing, ready and happy to vote for the Governor and ensure his return back for the second term.”
He encouraged new and existing members of the ruling party to participate in the ongoing APC E- registration exercise.
The Lawmaker who represents Ilejemeje, Ido/Osi and Moba local councils in the second chamber of the National Assembly challenges every supporter to mobilise voters for the Gubernatorial election, insisting that the track record of the APC Candidate would speak for him at the polls.
