The Federal Lawmaker representing Ekiti North Federal Constituency II, Hon. Akinlayo Davidson Kolawole has described Ekiti State Governor Mr. Biodun Oyebanji as a blessing not to Ekiti State and Nigeria alone but also to the World Over.
” Governor Oyebanji’s matchless and second to none performance in the last two years as Ekiti State helmsman could also be best described as a divine encounter on yearnings of Ekiti People”.
Hon. Kolawole gave the Statement in a release made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday.
The Politician lauded various development efforts of the Governor since inception saying, Ekiti People are evidently happy to have elected Governor Oyebanji overwelmingly in 2022 governorship election in the State, hence the total support he has been getting from the Citizenry. The support of Ekiti People for the Governor has made him to perform beyond anyone’s imagination.
“The revolution going on, in the State across all sectors to include: Health, Education, Road, Agriculture, trade and investment, water, electricity and tourism among others are unprecedented and commendable.
The present administration in Ekiti State has made the continuity manstra of same political party especially by allowing an insider from the former government as a Successor a worthwhile, desirable and necessity for a rapid development”.
Hon. Kolawole described the ongoing efforts at completing some projects embarked on by administration of former Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi especially, the Airport and Road projects among others as “a great consolidation of the continuity in governance” in the State.
“It is an understatement to position that, the experience garnered as a Special Adviser, Secretary to the State Government and other positions held in the past by Governor Oyebanji has equiped him to carry out the enormous task of governance seamlessly”.
He also commended the Governor for looking inward at making sure Ekiti, as a State is working and moving speedily on government of inclusiveness through aggressive and continued mobilization of all former Governors and Leaders of thought in the State to give “a time to time” advice to the present administration towards achieving a diserable and acceptable results for the development of the State.
The member of the Green Chamber of the National Assembly noted with joy the level of works done so far by Oyebanji’s administration on the completion of Ado- Ifaki Ekiti dualised and Ring road projects which were initiated since 2008 by former Governor Segun Oni’s administration, saying the road when completed would further open up urbanisation beyond the State Capital in the State.
Some of the abandoned projects in the State are now being visited to ensure the completion of such by the present administration while new ones across all sectors are also being carried out without any political or religious affiliations inorder to fast-track a real development across the State.
Hon. Kolawole detailed the current achievements under the present administration in the State to fairness, sincerity, hardwork, political tolerance, humility and foresight of Governor Oyebanji and congratulates the Governor, his Wife, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, Deputy Governor, Chief Monisade Afuye and all Ekiti People on the achievements of the present administration so far.
He however called for more support from Ekiti People both at home and in the Diaspora for the present administration in the State to perform more.
