The chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ekiti State Council, (NUJ), Comrade Kayode Babatuyi will be conferred with a special award for Ekiti Emerging Leaders and Inspiring Individuals at the second edition of Ekiti Future Awards.
In a letter signed by the organizers of the awards, Babatuyi will be recognized as one of the individuals who have distinguished themselves and become sources of pride to Ekiti people in February, 2025.
The organizers added that “little is being done among the people to celebrate, acknowledge and encourage those who are emerging as the current and next generation of Leaders with desire to hold on to these outstanding core values” hence the decision to honour Babatuyi and others.
“Ekiti people are proud of you and we are nominating you as one of the recipients of the above named award. We are recognizing you as one of the individuals who have distinguished themselves and become sources of pride to the Ekiti people at the moment and see as Emerging Leaders and Inspiring Individuals”
The event which is expected to be attended by the State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji and the State Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr Adesola Adedayo, among others will feature a discussion session which will be led by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement, Moremi Ojudu.
