The wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, has applauded the management of Ikogosi Spring Resort over the current standard of the center, and said it can compete favourably with leading resorts in the world.
To this end, Dr. Oyebanji has called on Nigerians home and abroad most especially fun seekers to patronize the resort centre for maximum comfort during relaxation.
The Governor’s wife stated this in Ikogosi Ekiti while on a “Come See Ikogosi tour” of the resort, which is currently under aggressive face lifting.
She explained that the resort center remains one of the best places for fun seekers across the world as massive renovation of some facilities in the tourist centre would certainly meet the requirements of people of various status and walks of life.
Dr Oyebanji described the recent government’s attention to the center as a huge and commendable move, which would further provide a face lift and boost the image of the centre.
“Personally speaking, saying I’m happy to identify with this project will be an understatement because it’s awesome. The essence of my visit is that I want to have a kind of collaboration with Ikogosi Resort centre and other relaxation places and I felt it is necessary to bring adire Ekiti to the centres for more patronage by fun seekers, thereby showcasing to the whole wide world” she said.
In a remark, the Chairman, Ikogosi Resorts, Mr John Olajide said the social economic impact of the resort centre cannot be overemphasized as it provides employment to many graduates and other job seekers in Ekiti State and boosts the economy of the state.
He also appreciated the originator of Adire Ekiti Hub, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji for her initiative and for empowering Ekiti youth and widows in Adire Ekiti making which he said has placed Ekiti on the world map and redefined Ekiti State . The chairman promised to partner Adire Ekiti in order to showcase the rich heritage of Ekiti to the world.
