A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Bimbo Daramola has called on youths in Ekiti State to key into the skill acquisition programmes of the state government with a particular reference to the fabric design programme, known as Adire Hub initiated by the wife of Ekiti state Governor, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji.
In a statement in Ado Ekiti, Daramola commended the wife of the governor for the initiative which he described as thoughtful, saying it would help to reduce unemployment and promote economic growth.
Daramola who represented Oye/Ikole, emphasized the importance of skill acquisition in today’s competitive job market, hence he urged all eligible youths to take advantage of the programme to acquire valuable skill and become their own bosses.
He noted that modern day reality has confirmed that every youth needs to have at least one skill which could serve as an additional source of income.
The lawmaker warned youths against social vices and immoral activities which negated the Omoluabi Ethos of Ekiti.
