The executive Chairman of Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Ilupeju Ekiti, Hon Olusola Michael Oniyelu has congratulated Governor Biodun Oyebanji on the approval of the establishment of a Federal University of Technology and Environmental Services, Iyin Ekiti.
Also, the chairman commended President Bola Tinubu and the leader of the Senate, Hon Michael Opeyemi Bamidele for establishing the university in Ekiti, saying the president fully understands that Ekiti’s major industry is education.
Hon Oniyelu in a statement, described the establishment of the federal University of Technology and Environmental Services, Iyin Ekiti and several other interventions of the federal government as the powerful hand of God in the administration of Ekiti state. The statement reads’ the development we are witnessing during governor Biodun Oyebanji is likened to the scripture that when the righteous are in power, the masses enjoy.
Governor Oyebanji has proved himself to be a true son of God, a visionary leader who had on several occasions rallied the support of prominent Nigerians, Ekiti sons and daughters inclusive for the development of the state.
You will recall that the Governor always commits the governance of Ekiti state to the hands of God, so if good things are rolling in, we should be happy because it is an answered prayer”
While noting the significance of the university, Hon Oniyelu said the institution will not only increase socioeconomic activities but will fast-track infrastructural development in Iyin, it’s neighbouring communities and Ekiti state at large. He added that the institution affords opportunity to the army of Ekiti students/youths to acquire knowledge that will make them self reliants.
Hon Oniyelu called on Ekiti sons and daughters, home and in the diaspora to support the re-election of the governor for more federal presence in the state .
Recalled on Thursday, president Bola Ahmed Tinubu assented the bill for the establishment of Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies , Iragbiji , Osun State and Federal University of Technology and Environmental Services, Iyin Ekiti.
