The sixteen chairmen of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees ( NULGE) Ekiti state Chapter, converged on Otun Ekiti for a conference hosted by Moba Local Government.
The NULGE chairmen in solidarity paid a courtesy call on the chairman of Moba Local Government on Thursday as part of the programmes lined up for the conference, applauded the leadership style and giant strides of the Executive Chairman of Moba Local Government, Otun Ekiti, Hon Bamidele FADUGBA.
Speaking on behalf of other chairmen, the NULGE Chairman of Ilejemeje Local Government and the conference coordinator, Comrade Adedayo Olajide who led the delegation commended Hon Fadugba for his exemplary leadership, saying his interpersonal relationships with people had brought meaning development to the Local Government.
While urging the chairman not to relent in given more dividends of democracy to the people of Moba Local Government, Hon Olajide harped on continuity of good governance, stressed that great leaders are always expected to do more.
In his remarks, Hon Fadugba appreciated the NULGE leadership’s visit. He said the commendation of the union would spur him to advance more dividends of democracy to his people.
While reiterating his unflinching support to the re-election of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, Hon Fadugba tasked NULGE leadership to work hard for the second term of the governor, saying “Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) unparalleled achievements—ranging from the implementation of the new minimum wage, payment of pension arrears backlog, to the provision of free healthcare services and numerous developmental projects across the state have positioned him far ahead of any opposition, therefore no room for anti- BAO for second term in Moba local government”
Hon Fadugba who commended the love and spirit of comradeship among the NULGE leaders, enjoined them to be worthy ambassadors of Ekiti state, stressed that continuity is essential for sustained development.
Leaders at the visit were : Comrade Adeseko Joseph Taiwo (NULGE Chairman, Moba LG), Comrade Ogunsakin Ademola (NULGE Chairman, Emure LG and Treasurer), Comrade Erinlomo Olumide (Chairman, PTD and Secretary), and several other union leaders, Hon (Alh) Adebayo- Ibrahim ( SLG) and Com Mrs Bodunde TAIWO(HLA) among others.
The visit showcased the cordial relationship between the council chairman and the local government workforce.
