Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji has again donated food items to Erelu Adebayo Children’s Home in Iyin Ekiti with assurance that the well being of the children is a priority.
The governor’s wife gave this assurance through the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, MrsOlapeju Babafemi during the donation at Iyin Ekiti noted that the presentation of food items remained a gesture of care and support aimed at supporting Government effort in the care and development of the children.
According to Dr Oyebanji, every child deserves love, nourishment and sense of belonging regardless of their circumstances.
“I call on on well meaning individuals and organisations to support children with special needs and the less privileged in the society. Doing this, our society would be a better place for all of us to live in”.
She therefore appreciated the management and the caregivers of the homes for their dedication, sacrifices, compassion and commitment to supporting the children and to shipping their lives and giving hope to them as future leaders.
“As you receive these items today, may they meet your needs and brighten your days as there is every hope that all these gesture will shape your lives and give hope of a bright future” the first lady added
Receiving the food items with the management of the children’s home, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs Omotayo Olatilu appreciated the continuous efforts of the Governor’s wife and other individuals at bringing smiles on the faces of the children.
Food items donated included noodles, beverages, provisions, food stuff, among other daily materials necessary for their upkeep.
