The Executive Chairman of Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Ilupeju Ekiti, Hon Olusola Michael Oniyelu has congratulated christians across the globe, especially residents of Ifeloju LCDA, Ilupeju Ekiti on this year’s Easter celebration.
Hon Oniyelu in a statement reminded christians of the significance of Easter which encompasses, death, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ to include, sacrifice, genuine love, compassion, forgiveness and hope for a better life.
The chairman enjoined residents of the LCDA, to reflect the significance of the season in their daily lives to people around them. I want to charge you all to sacrifice, show love to people around you,
live harmoniously with them and show forgiveness; These are Hallmarks of Easter celebration, the chairman opined.
While praying to God Almighty to answer their prayers during the fasting period, Hon Oniyelu said
“Remember Jesus paid the supreme price for mankind by laying his life for us on the cross for the remission of our sins for us to live despite his faultless and sinless life “.
“I congratulate you all for the successful completion of the forty days fasting, all your prayers will be answered in Jesus name” I wish you all happy Easter and I pray for the renewal of our faiths ”
While reiterating his commitment to serving the good people of Ifeloju, Hon Oniyelu said he would continue to provide quality leadership that will enhance the well-being of his people. Adding that there’s adequate security for them as they celebrate. He however called on residents to report suspicious movement or activities that may hamper the peace of Ifeloju to security agencies.
