The Osun State Executive Council Meeting, presided over by Governor Ademola Adeleke, has approved Osun State Water Users Association (Irrigation) Bill 2025, saying the bill will be transmitted to the House of Assembly for consideration.
A statement issued at the end of the executive meeting by the State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, says Governor Adeleke commended Exco members for their effort and support in ensuring delivery of good governance to the people of Osun State through various initiatives across ministries and agencies of the state government.
Also, Governor Adeleke, expressed happiness over the recent survey conducted by an independent group, named Geopolitics Survey International which rated him and his party, Osun PDP, higher than its challengers.
“This is the first time any such survey was conducted since we took over in 2022. I congratulate all of us for these positive outcomes.
“We were rated 65% for our party, the PDP and 66% for me as a candidate in next year’s 8th of August, 2026 Governorship election in Osun State.
“This is up from our 52% win during the 2022 polls. Our target should be 75% so that other political groups can share 25 %.
“We must energise our base and build on our enormous goodwill to deliver a landslide victory in August, 2026 Governorship election” Gov. Adeleke added.
