Eminent personalities across the globe joined Engineer Femi Fagbemi, the President of Ilupeju Youth Development Association and Oye local government; thanksgiving service held at Saint John’s Catholic church, Ilupeju Ekiti in commemoration of 10th remembrance of his father, Pa Joseph Ojo Fagbemi.
Speaking at the mass in memory of Pa. Joseph Fagbemi on Friday, Bishop of Ekiti Diocese, Bishop Felix Ajakaiye enjoined the congregation to impact lives, saying that’s the essence of man’s existence on earth. Man is created to help one another, whatever man does; he shall surely reap. Bishop stated.
While eulogizing the late Fagbemi, Bishop Ajakaiye applauded him for the impactful and exemplary life he lived.” He urged the children to continue the good works of their father, urging them not to forget home .
Bishop further urged Nigerians to exhibit good virtues in their working place, communities and society. The religious leader commissioned grotto presented to the church by Children of late Pa Joseph Ojo Fagbemi.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Engineer Fagbemi appreciated God for the life of his father, saying he taught them in the way of the Lord and morals. Assured the congregation that they will continue to uphold his good legacies while appreciating the congregation for attending the thanksgiving, Engr Femi prayed God to grant them journey mercies to their various abodes.
Dignitaries at the church service include: Vicar General, 6 other Catholic Priests, royal fathers including, Onire of Ire Ekiti, His Highness, Sunday Ogunsola, the Obanla of Ilupeju Ekiti and wife,top government functionaries, politicians and captains of industries among others.
At the reception held in deceased house at Aita street, Ilupeju Ekiti traditional musician, OGIDI ALARO entertained visitors.
