Members of the information chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists have been charged to be more dutiful, diligent, and proactive in their daily activities.
The charge was made on Friday when the new Ekiti State Head of Service, Barrister Bamidele Agbede played host to the leadership of information chapel who was in his office on a courtesy visit.
Barrister Agbede narrated the important roles information officers had played in the successive government in Ekiti State and echoed the need for them to keep up the good and professional jobs the cadre was created for.
Agbede admonished the chapel to represent government well in their capacity among comity of chapels’ open-pushing profession.
The HOS also commended the versatility of some information officers who have been doing well .
Earlier in his address, the team leader and the chairman of the chapel, Comrade O’ seun Ogunsakin described the new Head of Service as a round peg in a round hole which made him a rare gift to Ekiti civil service.
He said the visit became imperative having considered the person of the Head of Service as a committed public servant and somebody with an amiable and enviable antecedent.
The chairman however stressed the need for the entire workforce of Ekiti to cooperate with Barrister Agbede as the new Head of service in Ekiti State after presenting the position paper of the union to him.
Other members on the visit were : comrades Wale Obelewaji, Jide Bello, Femi Bamisaye Charles Ademolaju, Abiodun Olofe , Tope Babalola, Feyishina Rotimi and Ayo Oguntoyinbo.
