The Apeju of Ilupeju-Ekiti, His Royal Majesty, Oba David Sunday Awe Akingbade, has congratulated the former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi, and his wife, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, on the occasion of their 36th wedding anniversary.
In a goodwill message, the monarch extolled the couple for sustaining a model union founded on love, understanding, and mutual respect, describing them as shining examples of commitment to family values and service to humanity.
Oba Akingbade commended Dr. Fayemi for his numerous life-changing achievements while serving as Governor of Ekiti State, noting that his legacies continue to speak volumes across the state. He particularly expressed gratitude to the former Governor for presenting him with the staff of office on 8, October, 2022, a gesture he described as a significant milestone in the history of Ilupeju-Ekiti.
“The people of Ilupeju Ekiti will continue to hold Dr. Fayemi and his amiable wife, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, in high esteem for their impactful contributions to governance, development, and humanity,” the monarch stated.
While praying for the continued happiness of the Fayemis, Oba Akingbade asked God to uphold their union, grant them sound health, and crown their heart desires as they journey into more years of marital bliss.
He added that Ilupeju-Ekiti remains deeply appreciative of the couple’s unwavering support and goodwill, pledging the town’s continued prayers to their vision for a greater Ekiti and Nigeria.
