The Executive Chairman of Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Ilupeju Ekiti, Comrade Babatunde Ogunmilugba has described the death of Chief Ayo Ogunlade as a colossal loss to the LCDA, Ekiti State and Nigeria as a whole.
Ogunmilugba, during his condolence visit to the widows and family of the two-time Minister of Information and National Planning, extolled his wealth of experiences as a journalist, industrialist, and politician which he used to impact the lives of many Ekiti indigenes and Nigerians.
The LCDA boss noted that late Ayo Ogunlade attracted many developments to Ilupeju Ekiti, Oye Local Government, and Ekiti State, saying his contributions to the creation of Ekiti State from Ondo State and sharing of legacies/ properties for her take-off cannot be forgotten.
Ogunmilugba described Ogunlade as a typical Ekiti man who was diligent in his duties, factual, trustworthy, transparent, accommodating, loving, known for orderliness, a community leader per excellence, a builder and an encourager, who wanted people around him to reach epoch of their careers.
While condoling the family, the LCDA Boss urged the widows and family members to take solace in God for a life well lived saying, death is inevitable, and everybody will pay the supreme price. Late Ayo Ogunlade has done his part and he has gone to rest at 91.
He prayed God to grant the family, Ilupeju Ekiti, Ekiti State, and Nigeria the fortitude to bear the loss.
