Over 300 All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Osun State have thrown their weight behind former Senator Iyiola Omisore ahead of the party’s 2026 governorship primaries.
At a strategic meeting in Osogbo, ward chairmen and councillors endorsed Omisore as their consensus candidate, citing his political experience and track record.
Former lawmaker Ajibola Famurewa described Omisore as “a reliable politician with the capacity to deliver victory,” while ex-Commissioner for Education, Folorunsho Bamisayemi, assured stakeholders of Omisore’s commitment to their welfare and the state’s development.
In his response, Omisore thanked the stakeholders for their support, noting that their endorsement signaled APC’s readiness for victory. He urged party executives to spread his message across the state, foster unity, and rally support for President Bola Tinubu
