Less than 24 hours after resigning from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), former governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Otunba Emmanuel Fayose, has held a closed-door meeting with Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
A source close to one of Fayose’s aides disclosed that the Ekiti-born politician is making moves to join the ADC. During the consultation, Aregbesola was said to have urged him to embrace the party without delay.
In a widely circulated video on Thursday, Fayose described the PDP as “a compromised party,” accusing its leadership of acting as stooges for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
