The 1994/2000 Set of Christ’s School, Ado-Ekiti, fondly known as the Millennium Set, is set to mark its 25th Anniversary with a grand celebration highlighting its enduring bond, achievements, and contributions to educational development.
In a statement issued in Ado Ekiti by Chairman of the Anniversary Planning Committee, Mr. Fatai Tiamiyu, described the celebration as “a time to give back, reconnect, and reflect on how far we have come since our formative years at Christ’s School.” events will hold in two phases: Wednesday, 3rd – Friday, 5th December 2025, and Saturday, 27th – Sunday, 28th December 2025, in Ado-Ekiti.
The statement reads, Founded in 1933, Christ’s School remains one of Nigeria’s most iconic secondary institutions, famous for producing leaders in education, governance, business, science, and the arts. In keeping with this legacy, the Millennium Set has continued to distinguish itself through community development initiatives and sustained support for the school.
As part of the anniversary programme, members of the Set will embark on a courtesy visit to leading media houses in Ekiti State on Thursday, 4th December, followed by a high-profile Symposium on Friday, 5th December, to be delivered by the Chief Executive Officer of Adolescent Friendly Research Initiative and Care (ADOLFRIC), Prof. Babatunde Olofinbiyi.
During the event, scholarship awards will be presented to outstanding students who have demonstrated exceptional academic excellence.
The celebration will continue on Saturday, 27th December, with a Dinner and Awards Night at Dexambrial Hotel, where past principals, distinguished teachers, and notable contributors to the Set’s growth will be honoured. Among those to be recognized are former Ekiti State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Kehinde Ojo, former Vice Principal Mrs. C. M. Fagbeiro, former Year Tutor Mrs. F. A. Owoeye, and respected Geography teacher Pastor (Dr.) J. K. Alebiosu, among others.
The activities will climax on Sunday, 28th December, with a Thanksgiving Service at the Emmanuel Church Cathedral, Okesa, Ado-Ekiti.
The event is expected to attract members of the 1994/2000 Set from within and outside Nigeria, school management, government officials, and notable alumni under the Christ’s School Alumni Association, including personalities such as Hon. Bimbo Daramola and Barr. Ade Ogunmiloyo.
The 25th Anniversary not only marks a milestone for the Millennium Set but also reaffirms the timeless values of Faith, Knowledge, and Service—the foundational principles upon which Christ’s School, Ado-Ekiti continues to thrive.
