The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Information Chapel, has honoured Engineer (Dr) Adediji Oluwagbenga Samuel with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the engineering profession and infrastructural development in Ekiti State and beyond.
Presenting the award during the chapel’s Press Day and Dinner on Wednesday, Chairman of the Information Chapel, Comrade Wale Obelewaji, commended Mr. Adediji for his immense contributions to the growth of the engineering sector, particularly in the construction of durable road networks across various communities.
Engr. Adediji, who holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Afe Babalola University (2025) and a Doctorate from the University of Texas (2024), has over a decade of impactful professional experience. He has worked with leading construction firms including Syriton Nigeria Limited, JADFEM Nigeria Ltd., Elidos Global Construction Company, Brant Nigeria Ltd., and Billing Cost Associates Ltd.


His involvement in major infrastructural projects—such as the Ido–Ipere–Iludun Ekiti Road, several township road projects across the Southwest, and multiple residential and commercial developments—has further cemented his reputation for excellence. Known for his expertise in structural analysis, project supervision, technical reporting, and timely project execution, Engr Adediji is celebrated for his integrity, collaborative approach, and commitment to quality service delivery.
Speaking after receiving the award, Engr Adediji expressed gratitude to the NUJ Information Chapel for recognizing his work. He reaffirmed his dedication to contributing to the development of quality roads across Nigeria. He also appreciated the support of Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, and the Ekiti RAAMP Coordinator, Hon. Sunday Adunmo, for their confidence in his professional abilities.
