
The visitation of the Acting Director of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Ilupeju-Ekiti Special Study Centre, Dr. Musbau Olabanji Oyebode, to Apeju-in-Council has been described as a resounding success.
Prof. Oyawoye, Consultant to the Centre led the delegation paid courtesy visits to Kabiyesi Apeju and members of Apeju in council on Friday. In his remarks, Prof. Oyawoye reiterated the significance of NOUN’s presence in Ilupeju-Ekiti, applauding Arc. Sir Dipo Ajayi for donating the study centre—a gesture he said reflects his passion for education and community growth.
According to Alhaji Amusa, the Acting Director appealed to Ilupeju elites to offer scholarships to support local students seeking higher education opportunities.
Dr. Oyebode expressed gratitude for the warm reception extended to him by the community. He sought further collaboration, particularly in mobilising more prospective students and assisting the Centre with logistics, including vehicle to complement resources already provided by Asiwaju Ajayi.







Responding, Apeju of Ilupeju Ekiti, Oba Sunday Awe Akingbade and his second in command, the Obanla of Ilupeju-Ekiti, His Highness Sunday Ogunsola, welcomed the Director and pledged increased student enrolment into NOUN from the town, assured Dr. Oyebode that his tenure would be supported and would yield positive impact. The duo lauded Asiwaju Ajayi’s remarkable commitment to educational development in the community.
