The All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, for his sustained and strategic grassroots mobilisation, describing it as a major boost to the party’s growing support base across the state.
The commendation came on Saturday during the formal revalidation of the governor’s party membership at a high-level stakeholders’ meeting held at Lady Jibowu Hall, Government House, Ado-Ekiti. Governor Oyebanji’s e-registration card was presented in the presence of top party leaders and stakeholders.
Speaking at the event, the Coordinator of the nationwide e-registration exercise in Ekiti State and Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Gold Adesola Adedayo, who led the technical team that registered the governor, attributed the smooth implementation and wide acceptance of the exercise to the governor’s personal commitment to party building.
Adedayo said the enthusiasm recorded across the state was a direct reflection of Governor Oyebanji’s inclusive leadership style, which has attracted people from different political and social backgrounds into the APC. He noted that the politics of inclusion entrenched by the governor has fostered unity within the party, with former governors and key stakeholders now working harmoniously for its success.

The commissioner urged party leaders and members to embrace the governor’s open-door approach, stressing that inclusiveness remains a critical tool for strengthening the APC’s structures at the grassroots.
He also praised party members and Ekiti residents for their massive participation in the exercise, noting that registration was progressing smoothly across the 177 wards of the state. According to him, the influx of new members, as reflected in the data being captured, further confirms the APC’s dominance and popularity in Ekiti.
“We salute the industry and leadership of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, which have made the electronic registration exercise seamless in Ekiti State,” Adedayo said.
“People are joining the APC in large numbers because they can see purposeful leadership and a new wave of inclusive politics, where every segment of society feels relevant. While the governor’s aggressive mobilisation has helped greatly, all party members must also join the drive. This exercise will enable us to accurately determine our strength and plan effectively for future elections.”
Responding, Governor Oyebanji described the e-registration and revalidation exercise as a critical innovation that would further strengthen the party ahead of future electoral contests.
He commended the national leadership of the APC, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the party’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, for introducing the initiative, which he said would enhance the party’s organisational efficiency and sustain its winning momentum.
The governor urged Ekiti residents to embrace the registration exercise, reaffirming that the APC remains a reform-oriented party with the capacity to drive economic growth and improve the wellbeing of Nigerians.
