Children of the late Deaconess Florence Omoyeni Oluwatuyi, Pastor Kunle Oluwatuyi and Pastor Mrs Yemisi Akomolafe (née Oluwatuyi), have celebrated the life and legacy of their mother, describing her as a priceless gift from God whose impact will remain indelible in their lives, church and Ilupeju Ekiti..
The duo spoke during the reception held in honour of their late mother at Ibidun Event Centre, Ilupeju-Ekiti, on Saturday, shortly after her burial ceremony, which attracted dignitaries from across Ekiti State and beyond.
They described the late Deaconess Oluwatuyi as a dutiful, caring, godly and kind-hearted woman, who devoted her life to the service of God, her family and humanity. According to them, their mother was a prayer warrior who constantly went on her knees to fight spiritual battles on behalf of her children and loved ones.

expressed deep gratitude to God for the privilege of being raised by a woman of strong faith and uncommon sacrifice. He said their mother went the extra mile to sponsor her children’s education, nurture them in the way of God and give them a new lease of life, even in the face of daunting challenges.
In her remarks, Pastor Mrs Yemisi Akomolafe noted that their late mother lived a selfless life, always putting the needs of others before hers, and leaving behind a legacy of love, discipline and service to God. She added that the family would continue to uphold the values she stood for.
The reception venue was filled to the brim as clergymen, community leaders, politicians, church members, school mates friends and well-wishers thronged the event to pay their last respect to the deceased. The atmosphere was a blend of solemn reflection and joyful celebration of a life well spent.
Earlier, a funeral service was held in her honour, where tributes poured in from church leaders and family members who described Deaconess Oluwatuyi as a pillar of faith and a dependable servant in God’s vineyard.
The children of the deceased were widely commended for giving their mother a befitting burial, marked by dignity, and deep reverence, befitting her status as a devoted Christian and respected community figure.
Deaconess Florence Omoyeni Oluwatuyi died at the age of 80, survived by children, grandchildren and a host of relatives. Her legacy of faith, sacrifice and compassion, attendees said, will continue to inspire generations.
