Senator Ayodele Arise, has congratulated former Governor of Ekiti State, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, on the occasion of his 68th birthday, describing him as a statesman whose life and leadership continue to positively impact the people of Ekiti State and Nigeria at large.
In a congratulatory message made available to journalists on Wednesday, Senator Arise thanked God for granting Otunba Adebayo good health, strength, and wisdom, noting that attaining the age of 68 in sound health is a testament to divine grace and a life of service.
The Senator commended the former governor for his enduring legacy of purposeful governance and humility, particularly highlighting his tenure as the first civilian Governor of Ekiti State, during which he laid solid foundation for peace, stability, and institutional development in the state.According to Senator Arise, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo’s giant strides in infrastructure development, human capital investment, and promotion of unity among Ekiti people remain reference points in the state’s political history. He noted that Adebayo’s calm disposition, commitment to due process, and people-oriented leadership style helped to entrench democratic values in Ekiti’s formative years.
Senator Arise also applauded the former governor’s continued relevance in national service, especially his contributions to economic growth and industrial development at the federal level, describing him as a seasoned administrator whose wealth of experience has continued to benefit the nation.
“Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo is a rare breed of leader—principled, selfless, and deeply committed to the progress of Ekiti State. His life exemplifies service with integrity, and his achievements continue to inspire younger generations in public life,” Senator Arise said.
On behalf of the people of Ekiti North Senatorial District, Senator Arise wished the former governor many more years of good health, fulfillment, and impactful service to humanity, praying that God grants him renewed strength and wisdom to continue contributing to the development of Ekiti State and Nigeria.
