The Ekiti State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to women’s economic empowerment through the Nigeria for Women Program Scale-Up (NFWP-SU), describing the program as a strategic platform for inclusive growth and sustainable development.
Chairman of the Multi-Sectoral Coordinating structure and Ekiti State Chief of Staff, Mr.Oyeniyi Adebayo, gave the assurance during a team bonding workshop organized to strengthen collaboration among stakeholders responsible for implementing the programme in the state.
He reiterated Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s strong support for the project, noting that the administration remains committed to policies and programmes that uplift women and enhance community development.
Adebayo emphasized that effective implementation of the Scale-Up phase requires the right attitude, professionalism, and teamwork from all actors involved. He urged members of the State Coordinating Unit and partners to remain focused and dedicated to achieving measurable impact across benefiting communities.




In her keynote address, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs. Peju Babafemi, described the program as a transformative intervention designed to strengthen women affinity groups and improve household livelihoods. She charged participants to uphold transparency, accountability, and integrity in the discharge of their responsibilities.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Sola Adeluyi, highlighted the importance of institutional synergy and strict adherence to operational guidelines to ensure sustainability and long-term success of the initiative.
Also speaking, the Ekiti State Project Coordinator, Mrs. Toyin Familoni, noted that the team bonding exercise was aimed at enhancing unity, effective communication, and coordinated service delivery. She commended the commitment of stakeholders and encouraged continuous collaboration to drive the program”s objectives.
The event was attended by a delegation from Ogun State led by the Ogun State Project Coordinator, Mrs. Bolanle Fadairo, who shared experiences and best practices to promote inter-state learning within the NFWP-SU framework
