
Parents have been urged to ensure their children receive proper Qur’anic education from an early age in order to instill strong moral values and spiritual discipline.
The call was made by Imam Salahudeen Muftaudeen, Chairman of the National Association of Proprietors of Arabic and Islamic Studies (NAPAIS), Ekiti State chapter, during the 5th Edition of the Qur’anic Presentation and Competition held in Ilupeju-Ekiti on Sunday.
Muftaudeen advised parents to allow their children to participate actively in Qur’anic learning, stressing that early exposure to Islamic teachings helps shape their character and strengthens their faith.
Delivering a lecture titled “Care for Qur’anic Education of Your Children at Tender Age,” the guest speaker, Ustaz Ismail Amolese, highlighted the importance of Qur’anic education in building a morally upright society. He noted that teaching children the Qur’an at a young age provides them with the right foundation for responsible living.
The Chief Imam of Ilupeju-Ekiti, Sheikh Soliu Kuranga, congratulated the participating students for their dedication and encouraged them to remain steadfast in their studies and continue to uphold the values of Islam.

Speaking at the event, the organiser and Chief Executive Officer of The Ultimate Group, as well as PRO Communication, Alhaji Prince Amusa Rasaq Olayemi, expressed appreciation to guests and supporters who attended the programme. He assured participants that similar initiatives would continue to be organised to promote Qur’anic education and moral development among young people.
The event featured Qur’anic recitations coordinated by Imam Aroyehun of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti Mosque. Certificates and gifts were presented to 16 outstanding students who participated in the competition.
Other dignitaries present at the programme included the Imam of Osin-Ekiti, the Amirah of FOMWAN in Oye Local Government Area, and several other Islamic scholars and community leaders.
