Residents of Olorunsogo zone 13 have again appealed to Ekiti State government to help construct a bridge linking their community with zone six.
The call follows yesterday’s downpour, which washed away the wooden pedestrian bridge.
The residents stated that they have written letters to authorities seeking assistance, but to no avail.
One of them, Mr. Gbenga Ola explained that many residents struggled to get home after the rain, as the communal-built bridge was washed away.
Another concerned person, Mr. Adeola Fakorede noted that children have to wade through the stream to get to school, while others walk long distances to access roads.

Mr Fakorede lamented that vehicles parked near homes were stolen due to the bridge’s condition.
The residents appreciated Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s infrastructure development efforts, seeking his assistance with the bridge construction, a major challenge for them.
