The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has signed N2 billion Ekiti State 2022 Supplementary budget.
Governor Oyebanji, while signing the supplemantary budget into law at the executive chamber in Ado-Ekiti, was glad performing his first legislative function in the state.
The governor said that the budget would allow government to implement certain programmes for Ekiti citizens as the year winds up
Governor Oyebanji commended the leadership of the house for properly scrutinizing the Supplementary budget and assured that the fund would be judiciously used to meet the demands of the citizens.
Adding that the supplementary budget would enable his administration meet the urgent needs of its citizens.
Oyebenji applauded the lawmakers for placing interest of the state above personal interest
While Presenting the Supplementary Budget to the Governor, the Speaker Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mrs Olubunmi Adelugba said the bill would enable government perform its functions by making life comfortable for its citizens.
On the speakership crisis in Ekiti State House of Assembly, Oyebanji opined that the assembly has capacity to resolve their internal crisis without interference.
The governor sought the house unflinching support for peace and development of the state
“We should place the intetest of the state and raise above internal crisis for progress and development of our state”, He said.
Governor Oyebanji therefore commended the elders and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for their quick intervention on the Assembly crisis
