A chieftain and senatorial aspirant for Ekiti North in the 2027 general election, Senator Ayo Arise, has extended warm felicitations to Muslims in Ekiti North Senatorial District and across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Fitr celebration, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a goodwill message made available to journalists, Senator Arise congratulated the Muslim faithful for their devotion, discipline, and spiritual renewal demonstrated during the period of fasting, prayers, and acts of charity. He urged them not to relent but to sustain and reflect in their daily lives the virtues and teachings of the holy month, including patience, compassion, selflessness, and obedience to Allah.
The former lawmaker called on Muslims to continue to pray for divine intervention in the affairs of Ekiti North, Ekiti State, and Nigeria at large, especially as the nation gradually approaches June 20 Ekiti gubernatorial and the 2027 general elections. He stressed the importance of seeking Allah’s guidance in the choice of leaders and in fostering peace and progress in the land.
Senator Arise further emphasized the need for religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence among all citizens, regardless of faith or background, noting that unity remains a critical ingredient for sustainable development.
Reaffirming his commitment to the people of Ekiti North, Senator Arise pledged to prioritise their welfare through impactful legislation and to leverage his experience and influence to attract meaningful federal presence to the district if given the mandate. He assured that he would surpass his previous achievements recorded during his tenure in the Sixth Assembly between 2007 and 2011.
The statement concluded by wishing all Muslims a joyous Eid-el-Fitr celebration filled with peace, blessings, and prosperity.
