The Chairman of Oye Bricklayers Association Zone 1 and chairman Block and Concrete Moulders Association in Oye Local Government, Mr. Ojo Isiaka Babatunde, has declared his full support for the return of senator Ayo Arise to the Senate ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Mr Ojo Isiaka, who also doubles as Chairman of the Artisan Association in Oye Local Government, described Senator Arise as a tested and result-driven leader whose past representation of Ekiti North remains unmatched in terms of impact and legacy.
Speaking with journalists on Saturday, the artisan leader emphasized that Arise’s tenure in the Sixth Senate between 2007 and 2011 brought remarkable development to the region, particularly through strategic federal interventions and grassroots-focused initiatives.
He noted that one of the landmark achievements of the former lawmaker was the establishment of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, which he said has significantly transformed the socio-economic landscape of Oye Ekiti and surrounding communities.
“I am a direct beneficiary of the establishment of FUOYE,” Ojo Isiaka said.
“The presence of the university has boosted my business and improved the standard of living for thousands of residents. It brought employment opportunities, increased commercial activities, and placed Oye Ekiti on the worldl map, the university is ranked the fouth most sought university in Nigeria ”
Beyond FUOYE, Isiaka highlighted senator Arise’s contributions to human capital development, including job creation, youth empowerment programmes, and facilitation of federal government presence in Ekiti North through infrastructural and community-based projects.
Ojo Isiaka stressed that the people of Ekiti North should not allow political sentiments or selfish interests to overshadow proven performance, urging constituents to rally behind Arise’s candidacy.
“As we approach 2027, this is not the time for trial and error. We must support competence, experience, and a track record of delivery. Senator Ayo Arise has done it before and can do even more,” he stated.
He further called on residents, community leaders, and stakeholders across Ekiti North to unite in support of Arise, insisting that the district deserves purposeful representation that prioritizes development over personal ambition.
“Our focus should be on progress, not parochial interests of politicians who are desperate to hold on to power without tangible results. Ekiti North deserves the best, and Ayo Arise represents that choice,” he said.
The chairman of Artisan Association Oye Ekiti appreciated senator Arise for his love and good deeds for humanity. He said the senator has not only written his name in the minds of several thousands of Ekiti North residents but has made Oye Ekiti proud and Ekiti state at large via his passion and dedication to serving humanities. He
prayed God to strengthen him and grant him favour to return to the red chamber to further put smiles to the faces of Oye Ekiti, Oye Local Government, Ido- Osi, Moba, Ilejemeje and Ikole local governments
