The Federal University, Oye-Ekiti is set to host an inaugural lecture by renowned academic, Prof. Habibat Omolara Adubiaro, of the Industrial Chemistry Department, Faculty of Physical Sciences.
The lecture, titled “From Biodiversity to Biovalue: Compositional, Nutritional, Functional and Oleochemical Insights into Some Underutilized Plant Resources,” is scheduled to hold on April 28, 2026, at the institution’s 1000 Sitting Capacity Hall, Main Campus in Oye-Ekiti.
The event is expected to draw scholars, researchers, media practitioners, and key stakeholders from within and outside the state, as it will spotlight the economic and scientific potential of underutilized plant resources.
A reception in honour of the inaugural lecturer will follow immediately after the lecture at the AB-Events Centre, located in Ado-Ekiti. Prof. Adubiaro, who also serves as the Secretary to the Ekiti State Government (SSG), has extended invitations to members of the academic community, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), and the general public to attend the landmark event.
