
As Christians across the globe commemorate Easter celebration, former Senator and 2027 senatorial hopeful for Ekiti North, Ayo Arise, has extended warm greetings to residents of the district, urging them to embrace the virtues of love, sacrifice, and hope which define the season.
In a statement made available to journalists on Saturday by Senator Arise Media Office, described Easter as a period that symbolizes renewal, victory over adversity, and the triumph of light over darkness. He called on the people of Ekiti North and Nigerians to reflect deeply on the teachings of the season and apply them in their daily interactions to foster unity, peace, and collective progress in their communities.
“Easter reminds us of the power of sacrifice, selflessness, and unwavering faith. It is a season that calls for sober reflection and a renewed commitment to the values that bind us together as a people,” he said.
The former lawmaker emphasized the need for residents to remain steadfast and hopeful despite prevailing socio-economic challenges, noting that better days lie ahead with purposeful leadership and people-oriented representation.
Arise, who represented the district at the 6th National Assembly, highlighted his track record of service to include facilitation of Federal University of Oye Ekiti, developmental strides, empowerment initiatives, and legislative contributions that impacted Ekiti North .He assured constituents that his return to the Senate would usher in more impactful representation tailored to the needs and aspirations of the masses. “I have done it before, and I am ready to do even more. My commitment remains to deliver quality representation through impactful bills, progressive policies, and people-centered programmes that will uplift our communities, reduce poverty, and create opportunities for all,” he stated.
He further pledged to transforming Ekiti North into a hub of economic growth and social well-being. He called for unity among political stakeholders and residents of the district, stressing that sustainable development can only be achieved through collective effort and shared vision. While wishing Christians a joyful and peaceful Easter celebration, he encouraged residents to support his senatorial ambition, Governor Oyebanji’s ‘re-election on 20th June, 2026 and president Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, assuring them of transparent, accountable, and inclusive leadership that will make Ekiti North , Ekiti state and Nigeria more vibrant, secure, and prosperous. “Together, we can build a district we are all proud of—one that offers hope, dignity, and opportunities for every citizen,” Arise added.
