A tax expert and illustrious son of Ado-Ekiti, Prince Adebolu Ayodele, has thrown his weight behind the re-election bid of the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, ahead of the June 20, 2026 governorship election.
Prince Adebolu, who spoke with journalists in Ado-Ekiti on Sunday commended the governor for what he described as remarkable achievements across critical sectors of the state, noting that the administration has largely delivered on its campaign promises.
He praised Governor Oyebanji’s efforts in infrastructure development, agriculture, education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and workers’ welfare, stressing that the governor’s people-oriented policies have positively impacted residents across the state.
According to him, the visible transformation witnessed in different parts of the state under the current administration has justified the confidence reposed in the governor by the people during the 2022 election.
Prince Adebolu said the continuity of the present administration would further accelerate development and ensure the completion of ongoing projects aimed at improving the standard of living of Ekiti residents. He also commended Governor Oyebanji for fostering unity among political leaders in the state, irrespective of party affiliations, describing the development as instrumental to the peace and stability currently being enjoyed in Ekiti State, even as the governorship election approaches.
The tax expert noted that opposition candidates have been able to campaign freely across the state without intimidation, harassment, or victimisation from the incumbency, describing the prevailing atmosphere as a reflection of political maturity and inclusive leadership.
Prince Adebolu therefore called on the people of the state to come out en masse on June 20 to vote for Governor Oyebanji and president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and All Progressives Congress candidates in 2027 , describing the election as an opportunity to sustain good governance, peace, and stability in the state and Nigeria.
He further urged party faithful and residents of the state to remain united, focused, and committed to the success of the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming governorship poll.
The tax expert also emphasized the need to strengthen the cordial relationship between Ekiti State and the Federal Government, noting that the alignment has already started yielding positive results in terms of federal presence and developmental projects in the state.
“Governor Oyebanji has shown capacity, competence and commitment to the development of Ekiti State. Supporting his re-election will enable him to consolidate on his achievements and attract more federal government projects and opportunities to the state,” he said
