The Apeju of Ilupeju-Ekiti, HEM Oba David Sunday Awe Akingbade I, has congratulated Muslim faithful in Ilupeju-Ekiti and across the country on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
In his goodwill message made available to newsmen on Wednesday, the monarch rejoiced with the Muslim Ummah for witnessing another Eid-el-Kabir, describing the festival as a season of sacrifice, obedience, love, and total submission to the will of Allah.
Oba Akingbade urged Muslims to imbibe the teachings and virtues of the season in their daily lives, stressing the need for peaceful coexistence, tolerance, generosity, and commitment to the development of Ilupeju Ekiti and the nation at large.
The monarch also called on residents of Ilupeju-Ekiti to continue to promote unity and harmony irrespective of religious and political differences, noting that sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace and mutual understanding.
He prayed Allah to spare the lives of all Muslim faithful to witness and celebrate many more Eid-el-Kabir festivals on earth in good health, peace, and prosperity. The monarch further wished all Muslims a joyful, peaceful, and spiritually fulfilling Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
