Hundreds of family members, friends, political associates, supporters, and well-wishers on Sunday gathered in Ilupeju-Ekiti to celebrate the 50th birthday and wedding thanksgiving of Hon. Sunday Ige.
The colourful event began with a thanksgiving service at Mountain of Fire, Ilupeju Ekiti where gratitude was offered to God for His faithfulness, protection, and abundant blessings upon the celebrant and his family. The celebration later moved to the Cooperative Building, Ilupeju-Ekiti, where guests were lavishly entertained amid an atmosphere of joy, goodwill, and camaraderie.
Hon. Ige, a young, courageous, progressive, and grassroots politician, was visibly overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and affection from admirers who came from far and near to identify with him on the memorable occasion.
The event provided an opportunity for friends, families and politicians to reflect on the celebrant’s remarkable journey, describing him as a man of integrity, humility, and unwavering commitment to the growth and development of his community.
Speaking at the reception, the General Manager of Agbeyewa Farms, Mr. Oska Kehinde Aiyeleso, showered encomium on Hon. Ige, described him as a loyal, committed, reliable, and trustworthy individual whose dedication to service has earned him respect across political and social divides.
Aiyeleso thanked God for preserving the celebrant over the past five decades and commended his wife for her steadfast support and invaluable role in maintaining a peaceful and successful home.
Also, the national president of Ilupeju Development Association, Engineer Femi Fagbemi described the celebrant as a loyal, committed and industrious ally who supported his administration. He prayed to God to grant him sound health and long life to celebrate many years on earth.
Several dignitaries who attended the celebration also paid glowing tributes to Hon. Ige, describing him as a bridge-builder, a compassionate leader, and a politician whose contributions continue to impact lives positively.
Guests offered prayers for continued good health, divine favour, and greater accomplishments for the celebrant as he embarked on a new chapter of life. The golden jubilee celebration was marked by music, dancing, and heartfelt goodwill messages.
