Citizens in Politics Assembly (CIPA), a leadership development and ethical governance support group operating under the All Progressives Congress (APC), today saluted Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on a resounding re-election victory that has rewritten Ekiti’s political history and threw its full weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
In a congratulatory statement made available to journalists by Ayodele Abere, ANIPR Director of Media said Oyebanji swept all 16 local government areas of Ekiti State in Saturday’s governorship election, polling 319,224 votes to crush his closest challenger, the PDP’s Wole Oluyede, by a margin of nearly eight to one.
The result makes him the first governor in Ekiti’s history to win back-to-back terms and only the second candidate ever to sweep every council area, a feat last achieved by Ayodele Fayose in 2014.
“This is not just a victory, it is a verdict,” CIPA declared in a statement signed by its Media Director, Mr. Ayodele Abere. “Ekiti people have looked at four years of bold governance and answered with one voice.
CIPA noted that the scale of the win speaks for itself. APC ran the table in every single LGA, including the home turf of both rival candidates, a rare and emphatic show of trust no spin can diminish.

“Where others talk, Governor Oyebanji built,” the group said, pointing to what it called unprecedented strides in infrastructure, human capital and economic development across the state during his first term.
CIPA wasted no time turning Ekiti’s verdict into a rallying call for the bigger contest ahead. The group urged Ekiti voters to carry the same energy into 2027, calling on the electorate to deliver President Tinubu and all APC candidates a similar landslide.
“Ekiti has shown Nigeria what loyalty to performance looks like,” the statement read. “Now we take that same spirit nationwide. 2027 is not just an election, it is a continuation.”
CIPA reaffirmed its unwavering alignment with the APC and its mission of citizen mobilization, leadership development, civic education and public accountability at every level of government.
“CIPA is committed to demonstrating that governance can be conducted with integrity, that leadership can be guided by principle, and that citizens have a constructive role in shaping Nigeria’s democratic future,” the group stated.
The organization invited members of the public, stakeholders and partners across the country to join its nationwide mobilization drive as it builds momentum toward 2027.
