The newly inaugurated Executive Committee of the National Ilupeju Youth Development Association (IYDA), led by its President, Comrade Law Ibitoye, has paid a courtesy visit to the Apeju-in-Council, pledging to work in harmony with the traditional institution, Ilupeju Development Association (IDA) and other stakeholders to advance the development of Ilupeju-Ekiti.
Receiving the delegation at his palace, the Apeju of Ilupeju-Ekiti, His Royal Majesty, Oba Sunday Awe Akingbade I and the Obanla of Ilupeju Ekiti, His Highness Sunday Olukayode Ogunsola charged the new leadership to maintain a cordial working relationship with the Apeju-in-Council and the Ilupeju Development Association (IDA), described the youth as the future of the community.
The monarch urged the executive members to uphold unity, love and selflessness in the discharge of their responsibilities. He also advised them to carry every member along, seek guidance whenever necessary, and avoid actions capable of creating division within the association.









Oba Akingbade offered royal blessings to the new executive and prayed for a successful tenure.
The traditional ruler also commended the immediate past President of the association, Engr. Femi Fagbemi, for his remarkable contributions to the growth of Ilupeju-Ekiti during his eight-year administration, described his achievements as a source of pride to the community. He prayed for greater success in his future endeavours.
Earlier, while introducing the new executive to the council, Engr. Fagbemi expressed appreciation to the Apeju-in-Council for its unwavering support throughout his tenure, noting that every programme executed by his administration benefited immensely from the council’s guidance and encouragement.
He explained that the visit was the new executive’s first official assignment, underscoring the importance of the traditional institution in the affairs of the association. He appealed to the council to extend the same support to the new leadership, assuring the council that the new executive would not disappoint the community.
Fagbemi further advised the new executive to always respect the Apeju-in-Council and the Ilupeju Development Association, stressing that their wealth of experience and counsel would be invaluable to the success of the administration.
Also speaking, the Oloja of Iloro, High Chief Olumuyiwa Aduloju commended the outgoing leadership for its outstanding performance and expressed confidence in the ability of the new president to deliver. He prayed for divine wisdom and success for the new executive.
In his response, the new IYDA President, Comrade Law Ibitoye, paid glowing tribute to the Apeju-in-Council for its leadership and commitment to the peace and progress of Ilupeju-Ekiti.
He pledged that his administration would remain committed to promoting peace, unity and sustainable development among the youths while working closely with the traditional institution, the Ilupeju Development Association and other stakeholders for the overall progress of the town.
Ibitoye also solicited the continued support, prayers and cooperation of the Apeju-in-Council to ensure the successful implementation of his administration’s programmes.
