Comrade Babatunde Ogunmilugba, the executive Chairman of Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Ilupeju Ekiti and former Chairman Oye Local Government has graciously attained the golden jubilee on Earth today 5th January, 2023. Born on 5th January, 1973.
This young star from Osin Ekiti is known for progressive activism right from his school days which earned him NANS leader and later became the Chairman of Oye Local Government during Engineer Segun Oni’s reign. While as a Chairman of Oye Local Government, Comrade Ogunmilugba paid bursary to students of tertiary institutions, gave stationeries to secondary schools and financial support to primary schools .
Ogunmilugba, a grassroot politician: a mobilizer, unifier, intelligent, honest, trustworthy, resourceful, courageous, humble, kind hearted and highly spiritual to things of God.
A politician of repute who relates well with:The youths, old and children. He is well talented that he understands the language and needs of each group which he normally attended to. These qualities make him control army of youths in his local government.
As the Chairman of Ifeloju LCDA, Ilupeju Ekiti, the IGR of the LCDA has increased tremendously and judiciously used for the expansion of the secretariat to accommodate more staff. Also, he organized WASSCE and JAMB coaching for SS3 students in all communities that make up Ifeloju LCDA and awarded best students in JAMB with cash support.
Comrade Ogunmilugba, a visionary leader and a mechanise farmer thought out of the box when he realized that the IGR of the LCDA was meagre to meet the plans he had for the LCDA, he thereafter cultivated a large farm for cassava, yam, cocoa, cashew, oranges and mangoes seedlings for his LCDA which in few months will be fetching the LCDA money to finance some of the council’s projects
Also, in a couple of weeks, the Chairman will lead stakeholders to the foundation laying of the permanent site of Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Ilupeju Ekiti.
To show how grateful he is to God Almighty for helping and sustaining him thus far, Comrade Ogunmilugba has organized eighteen hours praise from 12: noon to 6 am on Friday at Anglican Church of Transfiguration, Osin Ekiti.
