The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has released activists Peter Akah, popularly known as Randy Peter, and Precious Oruche, also known as Mama Pee, after several hours of questioning at its Abuja headquarters.
The duo, who honoured the commission’s invitation, were released shortly after midnight and directed to return on Thursday for further engagement.
Their colleague, Justice Cracks, confirmed the development, stating that they arrived at the EFCC office around 1:00 p.m. and spent about 11 hours before regaining their freedom.
Earlier concerns over their prolonged stay at the commission’s office had sparked speculation on social media that they had been detained. EFCC has yet to disclose the reason for inviting the activists
