The Ilupeju Youth Development Association (IYDA) has felicitated with a distinguished son of Ilupeju Ekiti, Otunba Olatunbosun Omobamitale, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a dependable community leader, philanthropist and development-minded personality whose contributions have positively impacted the lives of many people in the community.
In a congratulatory message signed by the National President of IYDA, Comrade Lawrence Ibitoye, the association commended Otunba Omobamitale for his unwavering love, selfless service, dedication and passion for the growth and development of Ilupeju Ekiti. Ibitoye described him as “one of the priceless gifts God has blessed Ilupeju Ekiti with,” noting that his consistent commitment to the advancement of the community and its people remains a source of inspiration to the younger generation.
The IYDA President particularly celebrated Otunba Omobamitale’s PathFinder Computer Training initiative, agricultural empowerment programmes and humanitarian support for elderly persons and widows, especially residents of Uyanmerin Quarters. According to him, the computer training initiative has equipped many young people with valuable digital skills, strengthened their educational pursuits and opened new opportunities for them, while his agricultural interventions have encouraged self-reliance and economic empowerment among beneficiaries.
Ibitoye also commended the celebrant’s contributions through his membership of Ilupeju Development Association (IDA) North America, particularly his support for community development projects, including the provision of boreholes in Ilupeju Ekiti. He noted that such interventions demonstrate Otunba Omobamitale’s commitment to improving the welfare and living conditions of the people, stressing that his philanthropy goes beyond individual assistance to initiatives capable of creating lasting impact.
