Obalatan Commercial Grammar School Alumni Association (OBANCO) will organise a corporate prayers for Nigeria as it marks its 66th Independence Anniversary, Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji as he prepares for his second term in office, and the progress of the alumni association.
In a statement, the National Secretary General Prince ADEBOLU Ayodele Samuel, FCA, said the prayer session would be coordinated by the Chairman of the National Prayers Committee, Pastor Tunde K. Apata. He said the initiative was aimed at seeking God’s intervention for peace and development in Nigeria and Ekiti State, the success of Governor Oyebanji’s second term, and the unity and progress of OBANCO members.
The prayer session, scheduled for Thursday, October 1, 2026, has the theme “Dwelling in the Secret Place of God” (Psalm 91:1). The Muslim session will hold from 3:30 p.m. to 4:40 p.m., while the Christian session will run from 4:40 p.m. to 5:55 p.m.
