An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain from Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Otunba Adesola Adeboro, has declared support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and four other candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Adeboro announced his support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid while addressing some APC members in Ikole-Ekiti, where he expressed his backing for the President’s second-term ambition.
The APC chieftain also endorsed Prince Funsho Ayeni of the ADC for the Ekiti North Senatorial District seat, while declaring support for Akintunde Rotimi’s re-election bid for the Ikole/Oye Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.
At the state level, Adeboro endorsed Michael Ogunsakin as the APC candidate for Ikole State Constituency I in the Ekiti State House of Assembly.
He also threw his weight behind the Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, who is seeking re-election to represent Ikole State Constituency II.
The endorsements cut across the presidential, senatorial, federal and state legislative elections, covering five candidates seeking elective positions at different levels of government. Adeboro’s declaration comes amid growing political consultations and realignments within the APC as political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Adeboro’s support for the candidates also brings attention to the role of party stakeholders and grassroots political actors in mobilising support across Ikole Local Government and the wider Ekiti North Senatorial District.
