Support groups of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Ekiti State have set a target of mobilising over 700,000 votes for his re-election in 2027.
The groups made the pledge during a solidarity road walk in Ado-Ekiti ahead of the President’s campaign rally scheduled for Thursday. The exercise, organised under the APC Presidential Campaign Council’s Support Group Mobilisation Directorate, was powered by the South-West Zonal Coordinator, Hon. Abiodun Akinlade, and attracted APC members, women groups and representatives of various support organisations.
Speaking, Akinlade commended Ekiti residents for their support for Tinubu and praised Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his developmental achievements, noting that Federal Government support had contributed to some of the state’s progress.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Management Board of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), Hon. Shola Olofin, described the walk as a demonstration of the support groups’ readiness for the presidential rally.
Olofin highlighted the Tinubu administration’s economic reforms, NELFUND initiative, increased allocations to state and local governments and commitment to local government autonomy as notable achievements.
The Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Chief (Mrs.) Monisade Afuye, appreciated the organisers and participants, expressing confidence that Ekiti would deliver massive votes for Tinubu in the January 16 presidential election.
Similarly, the State Coordinator of the City Girls Movement, Dr. Habiba Yusuf Adaramola, said the groups were united and determined to mobilise voters to achieve the 700,000-vote target.
Hon. Olufemi Olubamise Babafemi, speaking on behalf of National Assembly members, also commended participants for their commitment to the President’s re-election campaign.
