Invitation to the valedictory meeting of the 36 state governors of the federation will be held April 26, 2023 in Abuja.
The invitation to all the 36 governors was issued by the Director-General of the Nigeria Governors Forum, Mr Asishana Okauru.
According to the invitation, the valedictory meeting, the fifth in 2023, will be physical as four previous sessions were virtual.
The letter further stated that all the governors would have the opportunity to give their valedictory remarks after the chairman’s opening speech.
Seventeen governors are leaving the forum, having completed their terms of office, while newly elected ones would be inducted between May 14 and 17, 2023.
The valedictory meeting will bring to an end the chairmanship of Aminu Tambuwal, the Sokoto State Governor, who took over after the expiration of the tenure of former Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi.
Feelers have it that new chairman of the forum may emerge at the meeting.
