The Ekiti State Advocacy and Steering Committee for the 2023 National population census will embark on advocacy sensitization tour of the 16 local government areas of the state between Wednesday 26th and Friday 29th April, 2023.
In a statement made available to PRECISE NEWS by Charles Ademolaju hinted that The Chairman of the committee, who is also the Special Adviser to the Governor on Budget, Economic Planning and Performance Management, Mr Adeniyi Adebayo disclosed this at the end of the committee’s meeting held at the Governor’s office in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday.
According to the time table for the Advocacy visit, the committee will visit Ado Ekiti, Ise-Orun, Emure, Oye and Ido- Osi local government Areas on Wednesday, 26th ; while the committee will be meeting with stakeholders in: Ikere, Ekiti South West,Efon, Ekiti West, Ilejemeje and Moba local government Areas on Thursday 28th April.
While the committee will be in Ekiti East, Gbonyin, Irepodun/Ifelodun and Ikole local government Areas on Friday 29th April.
According to the Chairman, “the local government tour is one of the numerous programmes lined up by the committee to sensitize and enlighten the general public on the importance of population census and the need for Ekiti residents to present themselves for the exercise.
The Committee will meet with traditional rulers, community leaders and various critical stakeholders in each of the local government areas during the visit”
