Ekiti State Government has said he would create enabling environment for Non Governmental Organizations that are ready to improve the standard of living of Ekiti people.
Governor Biodun Oyebanji gave the promise while declaring open the Training of Masters Business in ‘street self-reliance programme’ by an NGO ‘Interweave solutions international’ in collaboration with Ajoni Local Council Development Area had hundreds participants held at Ayedun in Ajoni Local Council Development Area of the state.
Governor Oyebanji who was represented by the Secretary to the state Government, Dr Habibat Adubiaro commended the efforts of the leadership and management of the LCDA for it’s ingenuity in improving the human capital development of people of the area
Adding that the gesture would open the LCDA to economic boom, thereby commended the LCDA boss.“Today marks a significant milestone in our lives as we gather here to celebrate the spirit of self-reliance and entrepreneurship he said”
Governor Oyebanji said “in an era where the world is evolving at an unprecedented pace, the need for self-reliance entrepreneurs has never been greater, the challenges we face today require innovative thinking, resilience, and adaptability”.
“As we stand as a new era, it is essential that we equip our self with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complexities of the global business landscape, he said
“The MBS Self-Reliance programme has been carefully crafted to provide you with a holistic learning experience and throughout the programme the participants would have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a dynamic curriculum that combines cutting -edge theoretical knowledge with practical real- world applications,he advised”.
“The programme MBS Self -Reliance is not solely about imparting theoretical knowledge but also about fostering the spirit of collaboration, lifelong learning, developing an entrepreneurial mindset, honing leadership skills and cultivating the resilience required to thrive in today’s competitive landscape”.
Governor Oyebanji advised that the MBS Self-Reliance programme will challenge the participants to think critically, analyze problems from multiple perspectives, and find innovative solutions to the complex challenges they will encounter in their business world.
According to him the programme would enable them to have the chance to engage with their peers, form meaningful connections and build a strong network of future business leaders.
‘The road to self-Reliance may be demanding, but it is also immensely rewarding” he said
Earlier,the Chairman of Ajoni LCDA, Prince Michael Ogungbemi said the major reason for the programme was to lift young entrepreneurs from poverty to prosperity.
The LCDA Chairman further stressed that in an attempt to domesticate and apply the principal of human capital development, his administration provided the platform to promote people at the grassroots.
“One of the reasons why the Ajoni local council Development Area through my leadership engaged the productive partnership with Interweave Solution International an American based non governmental organization was to lift market men and women, small and medium scale Enterprise, young entrepreneurs out of poverty to prosperity”.
Ogungbemi noted that the Interweave Solution International ISI, would avail participants with required training modules at building quality home, getting involved in community service, setting and attaining powerful business goals.
Adding that the Interweave’s training is based on the revolutionary teaching method called Facts, Association, Meaning and Action FAMA.
He further described FAMA as a hands-on teaching method that generates learning, group participation and action, which include an Education, Business, Home and Community training which enable participants to master and apply the concepts that will elevate their lives.
“As a government, we will continue to play our own role in providing opportunities and opening up our locality to the international communities and possibly donor agencies so as to help ameliorate the poverty biting hard at the local level and leaping our people to prosperity.
The representative of Interweave solution, Mr Akinmola Bankole in his speech said the training brought to Ajoni LCDA was to impart on the lives of people in the local government.
