The governor- elect in the just concluded election in Ekiti state, Mr Biodun Oyebanji has appreciated God Almighty and the people of Ekiti state for trooping out en mass to vote for his party which gave him victory.
The governor elect said” 18th June, 2022, Ekiti kete spoke and your collective voice was heard. It was unequivocal and unprecedented” Mr Oyebanji said he was appreciative to those who did not vote for him at the poll .He added that their peaceful conduct and participation added to the credibility of the electioneering exercise.
Oyebanji of APC sought the cooperation of Ekiti leaders and her residents for good governance, improve standard of living and adequate security. Saying he would build on the legacies of his predecessors to set Ekiti state working
The governor elect extended his appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Fayemi, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, Bisi Egbeyemi, APC chairman Ekiti state, Barrister Paul Omotosho, national leaders of All Progressive Congress , state executives, security operatives, journalists, diverse groups for their concerted and un alloyed efforts for the success of the election.
Mr Oyebanji condoned with the families of those that lost their lives during the pre- election violence.
The governor elect concluded his speech thus :”We would continue our consultations to seek more input into our blueprint for the state and would in the coming days open formal channels through which you can send suggestions to us.We want to listen to you and engage with you as we have promised, together with you, we will keep Ekiti working”
