Alhaji Adamu Maina Waziri, a member of PDP Board of Trustees has faulted the report that governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike met with the presidential candidate of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in France.
A chieftain of APC, Chief Joe Igbokwe had on Thursday posted in his Facebook page claiming that Wike was with Tinubu in France.
While responding on the phone, the BOT member said he was with Wike in Istanbul, Turkey on Wednesday.
“Governor Wike came directly from Nigeria to Istanbul, Turkey. He did not go to France as speculated. This is to debunk the propaganda of the APC through Igbokwe .This is a fake news orchestrated by the sinking ruling party which is on its way out”
It would be recalled that Wike has become the bride of all political parties since he failed to clinch the Vice presidential candidate of PDP. It was rumoured that Wike was scheming to dump PDP for either APC or Labour Party since The presidential candidate of PDP had picked Okowa, the governor of Delta state as Vice President to Atiku.
